My reviews on Worksheet: Virginia Woolf's To The Lighthouse

Here is the link of worksheet: http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2014/09/worksheet-virginia-woolfs-to-lighthouse.html

To the Lighthouse  Here I want to give my review on to the Lighthouse so it deals with the stream of conciousness .When we mention Virginia Woolf’s ‘To The Lighthouse’, it’s very natural to talk about her stream of consciousness technique. In this novel, the structure of external objective events is demised in scope and scale, or almost e completely dissolved. It is composed of the continual activity of characters’ consciousness and shower of impressions. External events occupy little space in the novel the writer as an omniscient narrator has almost completely vanished and almost everything stated appears by the way of reflection in the consciousness of the dramatic characters and the novel does not progress on “what – happens – next” basis, but rather moves forward through a series of scenes arranged according to a sequence of selected moments of consciousness and the techniques to which Mrs. Woolf mainly employs are interior and free association.

So these are my views after studying To the Lighthouse

My reviews on Worksheet: Screening Movie Waiting for Godot

Here is the link of worksheet: http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2014/09/worksheet-screening-movie-waiting-for.html

Here I want to give my view on waiting for godot as it is a play by becket we can see that it deals with the meaninglessness. The purpose of human life is an unanswerable question. It seems impossible to find an answer because we don't know where to begin looking or whom to ask. Existence, to us, seems to be something imposed upon us by an unknown force. There is no apparent meaning to it, and yet we suffer as a result of it. The world seems utterly chaotic. We therefore try to impose meaning on it through pattern and fabricated purposes to distract ourselves from the fact that our situation is hopelessly unfathomable. "Waiting for Godot" is a play that captures this feeling and view of the world, and characterizes it with archetypes that symbolize humanity and its behavior when faced with this knowledge. According to the play, a human being's life is totally dependent on chance, and, by extension, time is meaningless; therefore, a human's life is also meaningless, and the realization of this drives humans to rely on nebulous, outside forces, which may be real or not, for order and direction. Therefore these are my views on the waiting for Godot after screening this play.

My Reviews on The Sense of an Ending: Julian Barnes

Here is the link of worksheet: http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2014/02/the-sense-of-ending-julian-barnes.html

The sense of an Ending is an novel written by julian barnes which is narrated by Tony webster. This novel can also be called as postmodernist novel. Here I want to say that His award-winning novel The Sense of an Ending explores the themes of history, memory and responsibility while bringing some clarity into Adrian’s death. So it is a postmodernist novel.from another perspective I want to say that at the beginning the narrator, Tony Webster, is one of four school friends whose intertwined lives inspire Barnes’s plotting. The catalyst is Adrian. Like the others he is “book hungry, sex hungry, meritocratic, anarchistic”. He is also the brightest, the only one of the four to get to Cambridge.he is so bright that after remarking:
“History is that certainty produced at the point where the imperfections of memory meet the inadequacies of documentation,”
I want to also say that the seminal moment at school is the death of Robson, a fellow student. In his announcement at assembly the headmaster reveals nothing of the boy’s death but mutters platitudes about his being “cut down in the flower of youth”. Only later do the four learn that Robson hanged himself after getting his girlfriend pregnant.Typically they muse on the kind of knot Robson might have used on the rope to ensure his end, but it is the pregnancy that matters more.i want to say that all four are itching to achieve full sex, this being the Sixties when sexual freedom is suddenly talked about and not just behind the bike shed. Therefore This leads the friends to conclude that the suicide could only be considered philosophical in an arithmetical sense: Robson, about to cause an increase of one in the human population, had decided that it was his ethical duty to keep the planet’s numbers constant. Nevertheless the friends are jealous of Robson. His achievement had been “unphilosophical, self-indulgent and inartistic”. When they learn that his suicide note was rumoured to consist of just two words, “sorry mum”, they believe it to have “missed a powerful educative opportunity”.so the sense of an ending is a novel which is narrated by unreliable narrator.

So as per my reading these are my reviews on this novel.

My Reviews on Chetan Bhagat's 'one night @ the call center': Worksheet for Literary Analysis

Here is the link of worksheet: http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2014/12/chetan-bhagars-one-night-call-center.html

New literature begins with new thinking and that thinking make an impact over the young generation. One night at the call center is written by chetan Bhagat. Its s very well read novel and very famous author who knows how to do marketing and how to attract youth. “One Night @ The Call Center” not only covers the problems of everyday life but also talks about the risks and consequences of Globalization and how it affects India’s youth. Bhagat exemplarily calls attention to this point as the agent’s customs are put to an acid test, making it clear how hard it is nowadays to follow one’s ethical values again. Chetan Bhagat made an great effort to introduce this novel and after that the movie. It shows the popularity of the reading and Chetan Bhagat creates a kind of atmosphere to the ‘Yuvas’ to read the novels. Here in this movie, Bhagat introducing various concepts like super natural elements as we connect it with Hindi TV serials; we find this connection very similar.  The story is narrated by shyaam the main lead in the novel. the story itself is a narration by a lady to the novelist himself in a train journey. All the six friends are looser. Some for love. Some for job. some for carrier. Some for relation. so what they want to know? They decide to change one thing each and this is the main point in the novel the call from the god almighty himself. Hope you remember of the story being told by a lady in train the lady herself turns out to b a messenger of god. (Actually not sure but she disappears so what are we suppose to conclude) Again key ingredients fresh story. And this can take this novel to popular at the stage.
This novel is a key function to a literary thinking and the experience of being told.

My Reviews on Screening Movie The Da Vinci Code based on novel by Dan Brown

Here is the link of worksheet: http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2014/01/worksheet-screening-movie-da-vinci-code.html

The Da Vinci Code is the novel that deals with various aspects. And the first question is obviously arising that how religious people may look towards it. In another novel by him Angels & Demons he is continuing his codes to elaborate his views. The novel gives an impact on real come out of art and his way of putting the things. It extra territorial thing we can say by reading this novel and also one can mention that “Today’s bad maybe good for coming days”. This novel can be describe like this that mastery is not just there but one can observed the things and fine how this can be in trauma on thinking and that’s how Dan Brown make this novel as numerous to get that what is beyond the things.
We can also observe in other novel like The Secret and one movie that I recall is Abyss.  We come across with paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, and The Last Supper etc. The Narrative of Da Vinci Code seems more truthful as well as seems convincing to the contemporary young mind. Ophelia- Hamlet her character is different in novel as well as in movie, but after watching movie it creates different image of her in our mind. Let me give one point is that “Doubt is necessary than faith”, this novel is such a strong belief that one can thing in verity of way that how Dan Brown is giving his point of view by taking gigantic art and mentioning in what is your belief and perspective of others on your belief.
When we talk about Robert Langdon, Professor of Religious Symbology, Harvard University emerges as protagonist. He is very minded person to describe as what is to be believed and what is to think beyond. To get something about his mastery and observation I want to say that seeing thing is just a look but what is that observed the fact here. Each block is carved with a symbol, seemingly at random, creating a cipher of unfathomable proportion. Modern cryptographers have never been able to break the code, and a generous reward is offered to anyone who can decipher the baffling message.
Here one can identify numerous members of the Priory of Sion, including Sir Isaac Newton, Victor Hugo, Botticeli, and Leonardo da Vinci.
We studied Paradise Lost like gigantic epic and here the narrative we may see is that what is the truth and what is the easy for living is we can find here. Likewise that question is also come in Harry potter.
In the movie, firstly we see the symbol s that Robert Langdon is asking what you can say about it and that symbols can turn of the other perspective. So we can say that in every religion has its ouw looking of the things.
About the book I collect one quote from Library Journal that I also consider it as my way of thinking about this book.
“This masterpiece should be mandatory reading. Brown solidifies his reputation as one of the most skilled thriller writers on the planet with his best book yes, a compelling blend of history and page turning suspense. Highly recommended.”

Ann Gray (2003) Identifying the knowledge and procedure is most important here.

“I don’t know what I don’t know”
“I know what I know”
“I know what I don’t know”
“I don’t know what I know”

Here, the fact is to cultivating human being who can objective. Like, Sangreal: Sang/real= Royal Blood. So what we know is what we get from our observation and this all the thing is like mind map. Mind map of the writer and Dan Brown write this all the things very collision way in this novel.

My Reviews on Worksheet: Film Screening - Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party

Here is the link of Worksheet:
http://dilipbarad.blogspot.in/2013/09/worksheet-film-screening-harold-pinters.html

Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party is a absurd play and as we all know that he introduce here very significant style of Comedy of Menace. It can be seen as different way like some elements of laughter and some elements that turns into the horrifying way. As we can also see in some movies like, ‘The enemy’, ‘Cross Roads’. That how situation makes change.
This play shows the effect upon the readers to what to understand and what to observed by the character. It reminds the psycho thinking also as we recall the E.A. Poe. Let me introduce some facts that will make idea clear about the character’s horrifying elements, in the play, Goldberg asks Stanley about his childhood, but Stanley is unresponsive. Petey leaves for a game of chess with friends, and McCann follows to buy alcohol for the party. Stanley and Goldberg are left alone in the room. Goldberg, at ease, makes small talk, but Stanley won’t listen. Instead, he tells Goldberg there has been some kind of mistake that the boardinghouse has no rooms left for them and so they must leave. Goldberg smoothly changes the subject to birthdays, comparing them to waking up in the morning. He says some people know how to appreciate the wonder of waking up, while others act as if they are corpses waiting to be washed.

Passionately the problem is accruing in the play as mentioned in the sense of thinking. But as we also connect it with some danger in the play and also questioning the situation that what the viewers can convey after observing the play?  Answer will be different per head.
